Lost? PANIC!

What happens if I have a problem en-route?

The ethos of this event is “a ride with your mates”. We ride in groups of up to 30 in a spirit of camaraderie and support and we have helpers and a professional mechanic in support vehicles who are volunteering to do what they can.

We remind you though that in order to get as many as possible to the end within the 24 hour target there is a “No Waiting” policy. It is down to you to catch up at the next rest stop should you fall behind and we strongly recommend all riders buddy up so no one is left on their own.

We remind you also that there is no official broom wagon should you fail to complete the ride and that you are expected to be self sufficient and self reliant. We do what we can but it is a condition of entry that you are ultimately responsible for yourself.

We suggest you familiarise yourself with the various shortcuts, both between rest stops and also direct back to Dumfries, of which there are many.

As a last resort (and we sincerely hope it doesn’t come to this) please find below details of taxis and train stations along the route;-
